Lakshmi Narasimha Sharanagati Stotram In English
The Lakshmi Narasimha Sharanagati Stotram is a devotional hymn composed by the great saint Vedanta Desika, one of the foremost acharyas (spiritual teachers) of the Sri Vaishnava tradition. This stotram is dedicated to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha, the fourth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who appeared in a half-lion, half-man form to protect His devotee Prahlada and destroy the demon Hiranyakashipu.
The term Sharanagati means “surrender,” and in this stotram, Vedanta Desika surrenders completely to the divine protection of Lord Narasimha, seeking refuge from the struggles of life and the cycle of birth and death (samsara).
